Finance.net.in exists to explain money news clearly and accurately. This page sets out how we choose stories, where our facts come from and what we will never do.
What we cover
We report on markets, the economy, personal finance, business and money matters for Non-Resident Indians, with a focus on India and the countries where many Indians live and work. Every news article answers three questions: what happened, why it matters, and what it means for the reader’s own money.
Where our facts come from
- Primary sources first. Wherever possible we work from the original document: Reserve Bank of India statements, SEBI circulars, Press Information Bureau releases, Income Tax Department and GST notifications, company filings, and the equivalent official sources in other countries.
- Every article lists its sources at the end, with links, so readers can check the original.
- We do not copy other publications. When another outlet reports something first, we verify it independently or credit and link to them.
- Numbers, dates, names and quotes are checked against the source before publishing.
Independence
Advertising never decides what we write. Advertisers and partners cannot review, change or approve our articles. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” and kept separate from our news coverage. Affiliate links, if used, will be disclosed on the page where they appear.
No investment advice
We explain decisions, rules and markets; we do not tell readers to buy, sell or hold any security, and we do not publish stock tips or price targets. Finance.net.in is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst. Readers should consult a qualified, registered adviser before making investment decisions.
Use of technology
We use software, including artificial intelligence tools, to monitor official sources and prepare drafts. A human editor reviews every article before it is published. Read more in How we use AI.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so on the article. See our Corrections and fact-checking policy.
