What is Term insurance?

Pure life insurance that pays a fixed sum to your family if you die during the policy term, with no maturity benefit.

Because there is no savings component, term insurance gives the largest cover for the lowest premium. A common guide is cover of 10 to 15 times your annual income, plus outstanding loans. Buy it early, disclose your health honestly and name a nominee.
