India’s GDP figures are released every quarter by the National Statistics Office, about two months after each quarter ends. The growth rate is usually quoted in “real” terms, after removing inflation. Faster growth tends to mean more jobs and higher company profits; a slowdown often leads the RBI to cut interest rates.
