What is Systematic withdrawal plan (SWP)?

A facility to withdraw a fixed amount from a mutual fund at regular intervals, often used for monthly income in retirement.

Each withdrawal redeems some units, so only the gain portion of each payment is taxed as capital gains. If withdrawals exceed the fund’s returns for long, the corpus shrinks, so plan the rate carefully.
